Comprehensive Initiative to Prevent Abortion and Unintended Pregnancy bill

House File 2731

H.F. 2731 was introduced in the House on March 3, 2004 and referred to the Health and Human Services Policy Committee.

The House Health and Human Services Policy Committee has currently not scheduled a hearing for this bill.

Senate File 1665

S.F. 1665 was introduced in the Senate on February 2, 2004 and referred to the Health and Family Security Committee.

The Senate Health and Family Security Committee heard the bill on March 9, 2004 at 12:30 pm in the State Capitol Room 15. The bill was recommended to pass and was re-referred to the Senate Education Committee.

Although S.F. 1665 passed through Senate committee hearings, this bill did not come up for vote on the Senate floor. This legislation did, however, help to create a positive dialogue on preventing unintended pregnancies and abortion. It is expected that this initiative will be reintroduced during the 2005 legislative session.
